It's the time again, once a year ex-Prefects and Prefects of SMKSU enjoy a dinner together, organised by prefects whom graduated for exactly 3 years from SMKSU.
This year's Prefect's Reunion of SMKSU is organised by Prefects of 2005/2006, located in Holiday Villa Subang. At least 10 Tables were occupied, by prefects, ex-prefects, teachers, chairman of PIBG, state assembly women Hannah Yeoh, and not to forget, their respective dates.
It's a time to flash back for me. This night, i thought alot, how times has passed. How much i missed school. The green blazer, green tie and white pants i once wore every single weekdays. The daily routine of duities, and preparation of school events, reunion, sketches, performances, meeting, skipping classes, normination, outings, camps.. so many to recall, so easy to remember.
Seniors, juniors, colleagues, BODs, we all worked together. We share the same burden, sometimes. We helped each others, work together, spot checks. Infact, this "Prefect" thing has brought us together and formed a bond that would never be forgotten. And this bond itself, has made everyone of us different.
Many were absent today, but we missed them. They might not be with us in the dinner, but they live in our memories. Some flew overseas, some having exams, some busy with something else, some just said "i'm not coming", but nevertheless, the precious memories remains.
We all have our own life, we live our way differently. This precious event, or i call tradition whom started by our super super super senior prefects, has brought us together, once a year. Get updated with friends(i know we have facebook), get contacts, get inspired how successful one could be, get to see the growing juniors.
I'll attend every single reunion before i fly to Germany, and this probably going to be my 2nd last reunion with them. Next year will be my year's prefects organising this event, and it will be my last year as well, before my flight to Germany. We'll make it a success, with Winter leading us, hopefully. No, there's no winter in Malaysia, Winter Tan Ian Lee is my year's head prefect. We will see next year!
This year's prefect's reunion is decent, i enjoy seeing old friends, prefects, seniors. I met so many of them! Timothy, Sharon, Karmun, Edmond, Yi Shen, Ying Hao, Zhui mun, Joanne, Jocelyn, Robbee, Jade, Andrew, Rizzy, Winter, Chantelle, Pravena, Mavinthra, Miguell.. and so on. There's just so many of them! Afterall, that's the whole point of Reunion, isnt?
